One Can One Kid Award Night

One Can One Kid Scholarship Award Night

Each year, One Can One Kid has the honor of celebrating the bright futures of local high school seniors by awarding scholarships that help them pursue higher education and career goals. Our Annual Scholarship Award Night is a time to recognize the achievements of outstanding students and provide them with the financial support they need to succeed at college, university, or trade school.

This event highlights the essence of our mission—empowering youth through education and community support. We are thrilled to share the details of this special evening, where dreams take flight, and our scholarship recipients take their next steps toward a brighter future.

At One Can One Kid, we believe in giving back to the community by supporting the aspirations of young people. Since our founding, we have been committed to creating educational opportunities that can transform lives. Our scholarship program was established with this goal in mind, and in collaboration with Highland Park High School, we launched our first round of scholarships for local students.

Since the inception of the program, we have proudly awarded eight scholarships to students attending trade schools, colleges, and universities, with one special scholarship exclusively for seniors attending Washburn Tech or Washburn University. Over the years, we’ve seen incredible success stories unfold, with each Award Night marking another chapter in our efforts to uplift future generations.

Scholarship Program:
One Can One Kid’s scholarship program is designed to provide financial support to local high school seniors pursuing various paths, from trade schools to universities. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, community involvement, and essays submitted by the applicants. We are proud to offer scholarships to students from diverse backgrounds, recognizing their hard work and dedication. Our scholarships help cover tuition, books, and other expenses. This program is funded through donations, and aluminum cans from our community partners and sponsors, whose generosity helps make these dreams a reality.
