What is the mission of your non-profit organization?
Our mission is to enrich the lives of children and families in our community through the act of recycling. We recycle aluminum cans, and the proceeds fund scholarships, address food insecurities, provide back-to-school haircuts, adopt families during the holidays, feed families on Thanksgiving, and support other campaigns.
How is the money donated to your organization used?
Donations and recycling proceeds go directly toward various campaigns throughout the year. These include scholarship awards, stocking food stations, providing Thanksgiving dinners, adopting families at Christmas, and other initiatives that help those in need.
How can I donate to support your cause?
You can donate via several methods:: Venmo, Cash App, Facebook Pay, Through our website donation feature, setting up a monthly contribution of any chosen amount
How can someone volunteer or otherwise get involved with One Can One Kid?
As we grow, we need community support and volunteerism. Examples include:
• Helping collect cans
• Delivering and recycling cans
• Assisting with feed-the-family campaigns
• Participating in various other initiatives that further our mission
Where and how can people donate aluminum cans to One Can One Kid for recycling?
Currently, we do not have a brick-and-mortar location. We often pick up cans directly. Some supporters also drop off cans at our home office/residence, where they’re stored before being taken for recycling.
Who are the primary beneficiaries?
The primary beneficiaries of our efforts are those children and families in need in our community.
